Science Centre Station Update

• The East portal mud slabs are complete and the first of 3 pours are being set up beginning with the rebar and embedded conduits for the track slab.

• The first level of tiebacks are complete in the West Portal and bulk excavation has resumed to reduce the invert towards the next tieback level.

• The excavation at the main entrance continues• The micro piles and shotcrete work is ongoing at each of the U shaped structures

and will complete by mid October• The 750mm water main diversion pipe is now fully installed and is being made

ready for pressure testing prior to chlorination and final connection to the existing system

• The 525mm storm connection is almost complete that will eventually service the CoT owned parking lot SE of the intersection

• Gervais drive has been widened to allow traffic lane adjustments once the work to install the E/W new water main and Sanitary and Storm sewer upgrades begin

• The traffic decking work has begun at the connection of the installed pedestrian tunnel B1 as the backfilling work nears the grade level.
