Student Welfare

• Health care: Free medical treatment for full time students enrolled on a course lasting 6 months or more.

• Work benefit: Spouses are permitted to accompany for the full duration of the course and are eligible to work full time

Student Employment

• Visas stamped : Employment Restricted• Restrictions : Part time and Vacation work to a maximum of 20

hours per week

• Overseas students do not require prior permission from DIUS

• UG students on Sandwich Courses : The institution applies on behalf of the student

• Research Students : The institution applies on behalf of the student to work as Research Assistant

Visa – PBS – Tier 4 (students)

• Applicants will need to obtain a CAS from the university/college where they want to study. This will give them 30 of the 40 points they need before their visa application can be processed. Their chosen place of study must be on a “register of sponsors” kept by the British Government so that prospective students can be assured that they are applying to join a bona fide institution.

• 10 points for financial documentation
