I bring over 16 years of management
experience in project and programme
management, change management,
stakeholder management, benefits realisation,
risk and issue management, Strategy
development and marketing both in the public

Back to PROFILE OVERVIEW
I think I am pretty good at stepping back and
looking at the big picture to help develop
strategic and operational plans. I have a lot of
experience in governance and can advise on
developing effective governance structures.
I want to look outside of the third sector to
learn more about how the private sector
approaches the sorts of issues I deal with in
my role as CEO. I am looking for space to
explore my own approaches and to be
challenged to look at things a different way.

We are supported mostly through public funds and with growing cuts I am
looking at developing new funding streams as well as develop relationships with

communications strategy that will build the profile of the organisation. I have
experience in marketing, trust and foundation fundraising and sponsorship.

I am 57 years old. An optimist who enjoys a challenge and bringing about real
positive change within organisations and to vulnerable people's lives. As CEO
of a well-known advocacy organisation for over 6 years I grew the organisation,

am demanding of myself, lead from the front, and expect first class performance
- as I do with myself - but also appreciate people have issues and need support
through them at times. I nurture a second family supportive atmosphere at work
but also am ambitious. I have been on 5 Boards as a volunteer Trustee.
Worked for the lottery for over 10 years. Over 30 years’ experience working in
the voluntary sector at senior management level. I married my partner over 2
years ago after us living together for 20 years. I love walking in the countryside,
have two beautiful dogs and enjoy life!

I have worked in the organisation for more than 20 years, for much of that time in

DirectorI have been in my director post for a year now. I have over one thousand staff based
in 17 locations across Scotland. I came to the job at the time of crisis in the Common
Agricultural Policy payment system to farmers, and the work I have focused on in the
first year has been getting that to a better place, while also trying to tackle the endemic
and deep seated cultural and structural organisation issues. I have been a civil
servant for nearly 30 years - knowledge and experience in policy formulation,
implementation and delivery, as well as HR and Organisational Development.
