THESSALONIANS

…walking in the light of the Last

Days!

(Pro 28:1) The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

(Act 4:13) Now when they saw the boldness of

Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant

men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of

them, that they had been with Jesus.

HOLY BOLDNESS

(1Th 2:1-6) For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain: But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much

contention. For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our

hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you,

nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

I. He had an assurance in his

Savior

(1Th 2:1-2) For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain: But even after that we had suffered before, and were

shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to

speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.

A. He had genuine Connection to the Lord

(Php 4:13) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

(Eph 6:10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of

his might.

(Eph 3:16) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to

be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

A. He had genuine Connection to the Lord

B.He had Confidence in the Lord

(2Ti 1:12) For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not

ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed

unto him against that day.

(Php 1:6) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of

Jesus Christ:

A. He had genuine Connection to the Lord

B.He had Confidence in the Lord

C.He knew that the Content was real

(1Th 2:1-2) For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain: But even after that

we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at

Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God

with much contention.

(1Co 15:10) But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was

bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was

with me.

(1Co 15:58) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your

labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I. He had an assurance in his

Savior

II. He had a obligation to

Stewardship

(1Th 2:4) But as we were allowed of God to be put in

trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

A. He had a Commitment to the Lord

(1Co 4:1-2) Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and

stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover it is required in stewards, that

a man be found faithful.

(2Co 5:17-18) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of

reconciliation;

A. He had a Commitment to the Lord

B.He realized the future Conclusion

(1Th 2:4) But as we were allowed of God to be put in

trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing

men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

A. He preached without Confusion

(1Th 2:3) For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

(1Th 2:5-6) For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of

others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

(Eph 4:14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried

about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,

whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

A. He preached without Confusion

B.He preached with a pure Cause

(1Th 2:3) For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

(1Th 2:5-6) For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of

others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

(2Co 12:16) But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught

you with guile.

A. He preached without Confusion

B.He preached with a pure Cause

C.He preached without Covetousness

(1Th 2:3) For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

(1Th 2:5-6) For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a

cloke of covetousness; God is witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been

burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

(2Pe 2:3) And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make

merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and

their damnation slumbereth not.

(1Jn 2:3-4) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not

his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
