The middle colony had good soil and many lakes, hills, streams, and rivers. They had Lake Ontario too! The states that the middle colonies live in were; New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
The middle colonies had a mild temperature. It was colder than the Southern, but hotter than New England.
• They had wonderful soil
• Wheat and rye were the main crops
• Waterfalls provided power to run flour mills.
They grew wheat. And they also grew apple and peach orchards.
• They had plantations.
• Philadelphia had A LOT of markets where they sold crops that they grew like corn, beans, apples, peaches, fruit,
They had a simple government and had a king. And that’s about it.
• The middle colony produced more food than any other colony! There main crops were corn and bread (wheat). They had many markets. In the markets they sold corn, squash, beans, and fruit.
They dressed in brown and white aprons, long stockings, waist long petticoat.
