What was Yali’s Question?

Yali’s Question

They had better position on the globe. They had animals that produced meat,

clothing and milk. Animals also helped people transport to

places faster. Technology: like Ships, Compasses and

Astrolabes.

Why did the white men have so much cargo?

Indigenous peoples had no contact to the outside world.

They had never seen Europeans. They had never seen the technologies the

Europeans used.

Papua New Guinea

New Guinea is a small island south of the equator.

It has a tropical climate. They had no chance of migration due to

lack of technology. They did not have a written language.

Geographic Position

The fertile crescent is a crescent shaped region that goes along the middle east.

It is in present day Iraq. Plant and Animal domestication. Extra food. Population expansion. Ruling class develops. This led to healthier and stronger people. This also lead to new technologies.
