NAVAJO LIFE

• The Navajo learned farming techniques from the Pueblo people, growing mainly corn, beans, and squash.

NAVAJO ANIMALS

• The Navajo were influenced by the Spanish to begin herding sheep and goats.

• The Navajo depended on these animals for food and trade.

SILVERSMITHING

• Silversmithing is an important art form among the Navajo.

• This includes items such as necklaces, bracelets, and tobacco flask.

NAVAJO WEAVING

• The Navajo learned to weave on upright looms from the Pueblos.

• Navajos would sale and trade their blankets.
