The medicine Hippocrates made was humble and passive. It didn’t give the patient any side effects and help them relax.

He also discovered that the brain was an organ of the mind.

Digitalis- used to slow and strengthen the heart rate.
Quinine- from the bark of the cinchona tree, it is a fever reducer and prevents malaria.
Atropine- made from “night-shade” trees and relieves muscle spasms and relaxes muscles during surgery.
Morphine- made from opium poppy; highly addictive.
