Principal Business : Manufacturer of Cleanroom Gloves

which is mainly used as a contamination control manufacturing aid in industries such as HDD, semicon, FPD, wafer fabrication, optic electronics etc.

Heating is a major component of our manufacturing

process and it is used in the following areas :

1. Drying oven to dry the gloves off wet dipping

process.

2. Hot water leaching tanks and washers to remove

soluble ionic extractable from the gloves.

3. Hot air dryers to dry the gloves after washing.

Biomass Plant

A) Initial

June 2008 to July 2011

� The company was using a thermo oil heater for heat generation.

� The company was using Heavy Fuel Oil (MFO) as the source of fuel.

� Average MFO usage was 7100 liters per day.

B) Current

From August till now

� Switched to use a solid fuel fired thermo oil heater.

� First unit commissioned with 2nd unit to be installed and commission beginning 2014.

� Capacity is 4 mkcal/hour supplied by Thermax India , Model VTA-40.

� Source of fuel is waste wood chips (Biomass).

� Average usage is 42 tones per day.

� Source of feedstock is from surrounding sawmills within 80 km radius which is abundantly available.

Wood chips

1. Our company was actually granted approved by Gas

Malaysia for the supply of nature gas to run our Thermo

Oil Heater prior to our decision to switch to the use of

biomass.

2. From economic point of view, cheaper cost to use natural

gas in Malaysia compared to MFO. Also easier to handle.

3. Despite the above, our company decided to go ahead with

the switch to use Biomass which also included additional

investment into land, building, equipments, ancillaries, etc.

Amounting to USD 2 mil.

1) Corporate Social Responsibility

� In line with our Safety, Health and Environmental Policy

which ensures that the operations are safe not only to the

people but also to the surrounding neighborhood and the

community in general.

� One such aspect is the use of biomass to replace MFO.

� Reduction of GHG emissions such as CO2, CH4, NO2and

others.

�Our company has been selected by WD, our major customer as a long term supporter to EICC.
