Given the role of the ocean as the largest natural climate regulator on earth, and recognizing the interconnectedways in which the ocean and cryosphere are expected to change in a warming climate, the IntergovernmentalPanel on Climate Change released a Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate , inSeptember. This event aims to promote the report among policy-makers and other stakeholders, and to identifyways to support further implementation of the 2030 Agenda, in particular Sustainable Development Goal 14, andthe Paris Agreement based on the findings of the report.
