• it is the coordination of all supply activities from its suppliers and partners to it's customers

upstream supply chain

• transactions between an organiztion and it's suppliers and it's intemediaries, equal to buy side e-commerce.

downstream supply chain

• transactions between an organiztion and it's suppliers and it's intemediaries, equal to sell side e commerce.

• the link between organization and all it's partners involved in multiple supply chain.

vedor management inventorry

• supply chain partners manage the renewal of parts or tiems of sale through information and changing demand or stock levels for goods used for manufacture or sale.

value chain

• a model that considers how supply chain activites can add value to products and services delivered to the customer.

value stream

• the combination of action required to deliver value to the customer as product and services.

value network

• the link of an organization with its strategic and non strategic partners taht through its external value chain.

virtualization

• the process of a company moving towards becoming a virtual organization.

vertical intregration

• the extent to which supply chain activites are undertaken and controlled within an organization.

virtual integration

• the extent to which supply chain activites are undertaken and controlled outside the organization, by a third party.

radio frequency identification

• micro-chip based electronic tags are used to monitor anything they are attached to whether people or other things.

supply chain visibility

• access up to date, accurate, releveant information about supply chain processes to different stake holders.

• reduce cost of manufacturing

• manage inventory more efficiently
