The Arts Advocacy Toolkit For K-12 Education

is an online archive of print and video materials that can be used to advocate for

arts education in your community. The Toolkit is designed for use by a broad range of stakeholders: educators, board members,

parents and business leaders.

This brief presentation will look at the four main areas of the Toolkit website and will

highlight the available tools. For a demonstration of the Toolkit website,

please watch the short video that accompanies this presentation.

This is the home page of the Toolkit website.

At the top of the home page, you will find a set of public service messages by noted

educators, artists and business leaders. These powerful videos could be given to your local television station or posted on your website.

You might also use them as a model for public service messages by leaders in your

community.

At the bottom of the home page, you will find print materials that could be used as

templates for your own advocacy messages. On the left are sample letters, speeches,

Power Points, etc..

On the right you will find a variety of articles, planning guides and leadership tools.

Now it’s time to dive into the Arts Advocacy Toolkit!

And discover how you can be an advocate for student learning in the arts…

And why is that important?I wonder…
