15th June 2014

Pentecost 2014 just passed…what next?

Fully charged and ready to run?

Empowered and ready to serve?

Determined and ready to evangelise?

Fruit of the Spirit…

2 Corinthians 13:11-13• 13:11 Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree

with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

• 13:12 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.

• 13:13 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.

Quick contemplation…Farewell = rejoice

Appeal to peace = only possible by the workings of the Holy Spirit.

Minds that are focused on the Spirit will be peaceful

Living peaceably should be a marker of the church, since God calls the saints to peace and God is a God of peace.

The call to joy and peace is to usher in the Kingdom of God by allowing the Holy Spirit’s work to work through our lives and the lives of the Church

Matthew 28:16-20• 28:16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to

the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.

• 28:17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.

• 28:18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

• 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

• 28:20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
