dear friends,

As I’m settled here, forming sentences with syllables and sharing life through words, my soul is awed and my spirit heavy with rejoicing. Babes, once abandoned, are now held secure in the arms of Stephen and Wynne Elder and are soaring the skies, flying free and full to their forever home.

For those of you who have stood mighty in prayer for these Ethiopian twins, may I, on behalf of the Elder family, say thank you.

Thank you for the laying low grace and for pouring your hearts and hands into the lives of these treasured babies. And while this laboring of love may never be fully realized on this earth, I pray that you will discover what joy is ours when we defend the fatherless and relieve the suffering of the helpless.

I’ve created this little photo spread so that you might see and know, ever more, what a hopeful, joyful position is ours in Christ Jesus! Though their past be dark, their future is peace, for the Almighty One has rescued.

May we, who are His hands, His feet, His heart to this wounded world, stand fast without wavering and may we remember those still orphaned and abandoned with purposeful, aggressive prayer.
