John W. Reiley Elementary has a desire to serve others through service. Reiley Elementary encourages its teachers to use Service Learning as a powerful, effective teaching method for students of all ages. Service learning projects provide the opportunity for students to learn by doing, makes the curriculum more relevant, and enables them to make a meaningful contribution to their community. Through fulfilling real needs within the community students may become more civically minded, responsible, lifelong learners.
