BI is proud of the diversity of its career and recruitment activities and the commitment that goes into these events. This directory provides an over-view of all of the career and recruitment activities taking place at BI in Oslo. You will find many interesting meeting places here – make a note of those YOU would like to take part in!

A number of different groups are responsible for organising the various events, including the Students’ Union, the programme committees and BI Careersservice. They all aim to act as valuable bridge-builders between students and businesses.

Careers Forum at BIBI Oslo has a forum, the BI Careers Forum, the membership of which is drawn from both BI’s administration and the Students’ Union. The forum co-ordinates, approves and oversees the quality of all career-related events for which students are the target group.

How to get involved?Company presentationsCompany presentations offer companies and students a unique opportunity for mutual profiling and linking up. The opportunity to exhibit a stand beforehand is included as part of the company presentation. The company exhibits in the main area at BI from 08:00 to 16:00. A presentation can be a breakfast, lunch or evening presentation. Arrangements can be made for networking and dinner following the presentation, either at BI or at a location off-campus, providing a valuable arena for company representatives and students to become better acquainted.

Career FairThe Career Fair at BI enjoy a long-standing tradition and are arranged each autumn by the Students’ Union’s Business Committee. This is an opportunity for all students to learn more about companies of interest and at the same time forge relations with potential employers. The week consists of four days of interesting career lectures and talks. On the fourth day, around 100 companies exhibit at their stands. The whole event finishes with a banquet where students and company representatives come together over dinner.

Programme eventsThe Students’ Union has a number of active programme committees. These take care of programme-specific events to which businesses from a particular sector are often invited.

Career planning on the timetableThe BI Careers Service is responsible for run-ning the career and job search seminars at BI. They provide students with useful self-aware-ness, career planning and job search strategies which are anchored both in the academic and business worlds. Companies who wish to share information and experience on these subjects are often invited to contribute.

Careers seminarsBI’s Careers Service offers topical careers seminars, often focussing on useful tips which come straight from the source, that is to say the companies themselves ; small and large, Norwegian as well as international and preferably from both public and private sectors.
