Where is Catalonia?

 Catalonia is in the north- east of Spain

Province of Catalonia Barcelona

• Barcelona is where there is more population in Catalonia. There are different monuments of Gaudí ( Modernism), the Gothic quarter and a lot of shops.

Girona

• Girona is the mountain area. There are the Pyrenees but there is also the Costa Brava with spectacular beaches.

Lleida

• Lleida is important for the production of oil and for the region of Vall d’Aran (mountainous area ideal for skiing).

Tarragona

• Tarragona was conquered by the Romans and so there are roman ruins and a beautiful coliseum.There are  beaches on the coast very tourist.

Climate of Catalonia

Catalonia has a Mediterranean climate: 

In winter around 10 ° C ( in the Pyrenees around 0 degrees). Rarely snow, only in the north of Catalonia.

In summer between 25 and 30 ° C ( and sometimes more than 30

degrees).

It rains especially in spring and autumn.

History of the flag

• The flag of Catalonia, popularly known as the flag is the traditional four red stripes on yellow background.
