A WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG WRITERSWith Jose Lourenco

Each participant had to bring a story that Jose would edit and publish insitu , giving participants the experience of what it takes

to bring a story idea to print form

Authors began with a short story that was written, illustrated and bound within the hour, to demonstrate how to organise and balance

text and illustration and page layout

Authors worked on templates developed by Chirput Press, Jose’s chapbook production company

The writing process requires a different kind of attention that our authors brought to the table – literally!

Story themes included poetry, fiction, favourite things to do, animals, reading, language and fantasy

All authors worked carefully to ensure that their printing of the story was neat and clear.
