I. What is Evidence?A. Historians use two types of sources

1. Primary - evidence from an eyewitness to an event 2. Secondary - evidence from a source that is not an eyewitness

C. Historians must determine if source is reliable

1. A source’s point of view can affect its reliability. How?

a. may influence what information is included & what is not

2. A source’s bias can affect its reliability. How?a. information may or may not be given
