George Washington becomes the head of

the Government

On a piece of paper write down five great leaders through out

history and why you have chosen them

The Constitution provided a firm foundation for

Washington, however there was no Blueprint for running

the government, no precedents, no prior example, no leadership guides to follow.

One of the first problems faced by Washington and Congress was the establishment of the judicial

system

Judiciary Act of 17891. Established the Supreme Court – 1 Chief

Justice and 5 Associate Justices2. Established 3 Federal Circuit Courts3. Established 13 Federal District Courts

Washington begins to carve out the Executive Branch

Washington started small by establishing only three cabinet

post.
