This paper argues the need to reconfigure Children’ Centres, building further on what we know works and extending the model to ensure more reliability in their consistent delivery of positive outcomes across the UK. The paper is based on our own experience at LEYF combined with research findings which supports our hypothesis that unless Children’s Centres operate a more focused, clear and consistent service they are likely to be abandoned and discarded as a failed government policy.
