SERIES DESCRIPTION:
The rise of Islam in America and its
influence in the western world is
something to be taken seriously by
Westerners in general and Christians
in particular. Islam with a billion
followers is rising with renewed vigor
to advance its global agenda, one
that is characterized more by terror
than truth. Investigations into the
recent terrorist attack in Mumbai,
India--dubbed as India’s 9/11--was
apparently traced to a little known
Islamic front called Deccan Mujahedeen which is inspired by the
ideology of radical Islam. It’s time
western Christians inform themselves
about the worldview of Islam.
In this fascinating series, Indian scholar and journalist Reuben David
unravels the myth and the murky
waters of Islam and offers a reasonable Christian response to the
questions posed by Islam.
FACTS TO CONSIDER:
• Islam is growing rapidly in the United States. Estimates of Muslim adherents vary between 3 to 6 million.• Christians vary widely in how to respond to Islam. Some are isolated from or confrontational towards Muslims and others engage in bridge-building evangelistic endeavors.• Although Islam believes in Jesus as a mighty prophet, it says He never rose from the dead.• There are 99 names for Allah in Islam and not one of them refers to God as Father.• In many Islamic countries the “Law of Apostasy” requires that anyone who departs from Islam must be killed.• Women have half the rights of men: in court witness and in inheritance.
SPEAKER BACKGROUND:
Reuben David has dedicated his life and ministry to a reasoned defense of the gospel and a broader understanding of the historic Christian intellectual tradition. Mr. David has written extensively on world religions.

His first-hand knowledge of religions, cults, and the competing philosophies and ideologies of our day has made him a popular lecturer and seminar leader with university students and adult audiences alike.
Mr. David holds masters’ degrees in mass media, psychology, and religion from Regent University in Alexandria, Virginia, and from Bangalore University in India.
