TRUSS STRUCTURE

The ECOSTRUCT Truss System is one of the company’s most popular and highly economical products. It is

a rigid structure, ideal for large span roof systems, multiple bay buildings and as mezzanine floor framing.

Significant reductions in clearances and building heights are possible by running service pipes/ducts

through the trusses.

As well foundation costs are reduced due to fewer columns being required to support larger spans. The

ECOSTRUCT Truss System structures are individually designed to meet the specific requirements of each

building and are fabricated utilizing high quality efficient fixtures.

The system allows for easy erection as all connections are field bolted. Except for field splices on very large spans, no site welding is required

Structural Component

Primary MembersPrimary members consists of columns, rafters, beams etc.

These are fabricated from high strength material of Gr.

Fe540 HR Plates. Plates are cut to required size and shape.

“ I “ beam section are made from these Plates in

Automatic Beam welding line by submerged arc welding.

Secondary Members - Z - Purlin / GirtsPurlin is a horizontal structural member which supports roof covering. A member cold rolled formed from plain steel sheet or steel coil in the shape of a “Z”. The raw material used having Min. Yield stress 345 MPA is in both form like black coil or galvanized.

Secondary structural framing member refer to purlins, girts

or side runner, eave struts, wind bracing, column bracing and

other miscellaneous structural parts.

All secondary member are cold roll formed from steel which

has a minimum yield strength of 345 N/mm².

High grade steel conforming to IS2062 or equivalent, available in 1.5 mm, 1.75 mm. 2.0 mm, 2.25 mm, 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm thickness. Factory painted with a minimum of 35 microns (DFT) of corrosion protection primer, or pre-galvanized finish.

Bracing System

The Tie Runner and Wind Bracings are cold rolled formed sections are in M.S having

thickness 1.5mm to 3mm, Depending on design of the structure. It is a secondary

member that ensures the stability of the building against forces in the longitudinal

direction such as Wind, Cranes, and Earthquakes.

All secondary connection fasteners shall be with machine bolts of Grade-

4.6 conforming to the physical specification of ASTM A307 or equivalent.

The fasteners for the cladding/roofing includes GI self-tapping screws/GI

Self-drilling screws in varying sizes to suit the roofing/cladding requirement. These are accompanied with

neoprene or EPDM washers to obtain long service and maximum weather resistance.

FastenersAll screws shall have hex heads and are zinc plated.

All primary connection fasteners will be with High Strength Bolt of Grade 8.8 conforming to the physical

specification of ASTM A325 or equivalent. These fasteners shall be hot dipped electro galvanized to

ensure total corrosion protection.

ROOF & SIDE SHEET PANEL PROFILES

ECOSTRUCT offers five types of affordable, durable and easy-to-install cladding panels to enhance the

visual appearance of our customer’s buildings.

ECOSTRUCT RIB profile is strong and cost effective and was developed specifically for roofing

applications. The bearing leg design permits easier installation and maintenance, supports thicker

layers of insulation and allows easier curvature for a visually appealing finish.

ECOSTRUCT profile is also available as an Insulated panel in thickness from

40mm to 150mm.

SHEET PROFILE MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONBase metal of either Galvalume coated steel conforming to ASTM A 792M

Grade 345B or aluminum conforming to ASTM B 209M Alloy 3003 Temper H26. Galvalume coating is

55% Aluminum and about 45% Zinc by weight. An exterior surface coating on painted panels of 25

microns of epoxy primer With a highly durable polyester finish. An interior surface coating on painted

Panels of 12 microns of epoxy primer and modified polyester or foam spec.

The outer and inner metal skins of Insulated Panels conform to the same Specification as the single skin

painted panels described above. In addition, Insulated Panels have a factory injected polyurethane core.

Thermal transmission data can be found in the ECOSTRUCT Technical Manual on Pre-Engineered

Buildings. Liner panels have one metal skin surface with polystyrene foam board adhered to it for better

insulation.
