PUBLIC SAFETY TRAINING CENTER – SITE PLAN

FIBER OPTIC NETWORK

• Bids were received on March 2, 2017 and were reviewed by staff

• On April 18th, City Council awarded the bid to MasTec, Inc. for $306,500

• Preconstruction meeting on May 23rd

• Vendor started installing conduit on May 24th

• Conduit and is wire has been installed

• Cable planned to be “hot” and in-service by the end of October 2017

STREETS INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

PRIMROSE LANE STREET RECONSTRUCTION• Sanitary sewer point repairs• Developed the streetscape enhancements to include in the

project• Drainage improvements• Sidewalk improvements• Paving reconstruction• Neighborhood Meeting held on June 12, 2017• Project began on June 19, 2017• Utility work ongoing. Project 35% complete.• Project slightly behind schedule due to complexity of utility

work but hope to make up time during paving portion• Completion date is December 15, 2017

PRIMROSE LANE STREET RECONSTRUCTION

PHASE 1 DALROCK ESTATES STREET RECONSTRUCTION

• Bid received on September 8, 2017 & Project awarded on October 10, 2017

• Developed the streetscape enhancements to include in the project

• Waterlines were replaced by the City staff• Sewer Sanitary point repairs & cleaning is

included in this project• Anticipate beginning construction

November 2017• Anticipated completion September 2018

The project limits are estimated and could be subject to change based on the final engineering design and available resources.

PHASE 1 HIGHLAND MEADOWS STREET RECONSTRUCTION

• Engineering complete & project will be bid in October 2017

• Developed the streetscape enhancements to include in the project

• Sewer is included in the project• City staff has replaced 80% of waterline• Anticipate beginning construction

November/December 2017• Anticipated completion

September/October 2018

PHASE 1 LAKE COUNTRY ESTATES STREET RECONSTRUCTION

• Design contract was approved by Council in June 2017

• Construction funded in last bond issuance

• Anticipated construction beginning February 2018

• Design is 10% complete

MAIN STREET RECONSTRUCTION -ROUNDABOUT TO PGBT • 90% design complete & will be complete November

2017• Design is one month behind because of drainage

design and holding major stakeholder meetings• Road profile to be lowered 3-4 feet• Sanitary sewer along corridor assessed and needs

replaced and included in scope• Critical path will be franchise utility relocations• Meet with franchise utilities & they are behind

schedule to get relocated. Therefore, project start date will be pushed back from February 2018 to May 2018

MAIN STREET RECONSTRUCTION -ROUNDABOUT TO PGBT

RIGHT TURN LANE ON MAIN & PGBT

• Identified on southeast corner of PGBT frontage road and Main Street as priority corner

• Council award of design contract May 2017• Surveying complete• Design complete November 2017• Bid with Main Street project as an alternate to

improve economies of scale• Construction begin May 2018• Estimated construction cost $540,300

MERRITT ROAD INTERCONNECTOR PHASE II

• Design project only at this time

• Preliminary design is 30% complete. Currently in environmental phase.

• Held stakeholder meeting on May 23, 2017 to discuss project

• Council reviewed three bridge options and bridge aesthetics in August 2017 work session

• Continue with design of preferred option in FY 17/18

• Need to identify funding source for construction

TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT INTERSECTION AT CHIESA & LIBERTY GROVE

• Contract was awarded to Durable Specialties, Inc.

• The pre-construction conference was held on October 11, 2017 and NTP was issued

• Installation estimated to begin November 2017 on underground portion. There is a 12-week lead time for the poles & mast arms.

• Tentative completion on February 13, 2018
