To find the name of minor (sad sounding) key signatures…1. Find the Major key,2. Then go down a 3rd

Example:

If the Major key is C 3 B 2

Then the minor key is A 1

No sharps or flats One flat More than one flat Sharps

It is C Major It is F Major 1. Find the next to the last flat 1. Find the last sharp

2. That is the name of the key 2. Go up a half-step

3. That is the name of the key
