What is personification?Personification : when things or objects are

Things that are personified are described as though they have senses, moving actions and feelings like humans and animals.

e.g. The paper was dancing through the air.

The stones were skipping along the pavement.

The wind whispered.

CITY JUNGLE: Rain splinters town.

Lizard cars cruise by; their radiators grin.

Thin headlights stare shop doorways keeptheir mouths shut.

 At the roadsidehunched houses cough.

Newspapers shuffle by,hands in their pockets. The gutter gargles.

 A motorbike snarls;Dustbins flinch.

 Streetlights bare their yellow teeth.

The motorway’s Cat black tongue lashesacross the glistening tarmac of the night.
