J.E.M. STRIKE Teams

The Joint Emergency Management STRIKE Teams aim to

better serve the community and the motoring public by

ensuring the continuance of operations by Fire, Police,

Public Works, and City Administration during inclement

weather events and emergency situations by providing

road repairs, debris removal, flood control and other tasks

related to roadway safety, while ensuring the safety of all

responders.

North Public Safety Center

Kings Fork Public Safety Center (EOC)

Team Leader (Fire): Primary for all communications Leads all tasks assigned by the EOC Conduct inspections of the Ready Equipment with the

Scene Security Officer Make STOP OPERATIONS decisions Primary medical assistance for the STRIKE Team Secondary Team Vehicle or Equipment Operator Ensures the inventory of the first aid supplies onboard

the Team Vehicle Completes the Activity Log (ICS Form 214) at the

completion of each deployment

Scene Security Officer (Police): Primary law enforcement and scene security during

operations as necessary

Assist the Team Leader with Ready Equipment inspections

Assists with STOP OPERATIONS decisions

Ensures the inventory of the first aid supplies onboard the Team Vehicle

Ensures the security of equipment and personnel during operations

Vehicle Operator (Public Works): Ensures the Team Vehicle and Ready Equipment

Assists the Equipment Operator in ensuring that all Ready Equipment is available and in good operating condition and placed onboard the Team Vehicle at Activation

Assists the Vehicle Operator in ensuring the Team Vehicle and Ready Equipment inspections prior to and after use

Ensures all Ready Equipment is available and in good operating condition and placed onboard the Team Vehicle at Activation

Secondary Vehicle Operator and driver

One vehicle at each Public Safety Center

Capable of being safely driven in hazardous

conditions

fittings on opposing ends. Two chains, 25’ lengths, rated at 10,000 lb. capacity with “J-hook”

fittings on both ends. Six water inflatable flood control dams, 50’ long with hoses and

fittings. Hydraulic high flow water pump for inflation of flood control

dams and removal of flood waters.

Activation Each Team Member is expected to

▪ arrive at their respective base assignment ▪ fully equipped at the time prescribed ▪ When not deployed, remain at their respective base of

operations.

STRIKE Team members will be provided bedding, shower facilities and meals at their respective base of operations for the duration of their activation.

Each Team Leader will be notified of the Activation of his/her respective STRIKE Team and they in turn shall notify each of their Team Members.
