BOTTLED WATER IS OK – SODA, COFFEE, TEA, FLAVORED WATER, ETC. IS NOT OK

Materials For The Classroom

Finish conversations and food outside before entering.

Place all personal items against the wall.

Take your music, pencil and bottle of water to your seat.

When the bell rings, stand and prepare to sing.

Procedure for Entering Classroom

If you are late to class you will be sent to the discipline office to register your tardy.

Only one person at a time may use the restroom. If the pass is gone you must wait.

No bathroom passes the last 10 minutes of class.

If I see or hear your phone or other electronic device, I will take it. Please place it in your backpack until it is needed for class projects.

Your grade is based on a standard percentage (90%, 80%, etc.) and is weighted as follows:

Grading Procedure

Rubrics

All Choral Union members are held to the highest standards of academics and character.

Performances that are not a normal part of the students’ assessment grades will fall under the “No Pass, No Play” policy for our school.

Eligibility Policy

In addition, it will be the policy of the BMHS Choral Union for students who are ineligible to NOT be allowed to participate in ANY choral activity that takes place during the school day and would cause the student to miss his/her classes.

There will be NO EXCEPTIONS made for the ineligibility policy.

ALL FESTIVALS (CHODA, AZCDA, REGIONAL, ALL-STATE, CHANDLER/GILBERT, MEN’S FESTIVAL, ETC.)

AUDITIONS FOR REGIONAL AND ALL-STATE HONOR CHOIRS

OFF CAMPUS PERFORMANCES OCCURING DURING THE SCHOOL DAY

Activities Requiring Eligibility

Fall Choir Concert (Oct. 6) Winter Holiday Concert (Dec. 8) “POPS” Concert (March 1) Farewell Concert (May 10) All extra rehearsals called before or after

school (i.e. WC combined rehearsals) Any performances that are non-graded and

outside the regular school day.

These activities are REQUIRED as part of your class grade and take place outside the regular school day.

What Do We Do In Choir?

the white board when you come in each day)

Wrap-up (weekly or more often if possible) Fun Fridays will be done as much as

possible depending on time constraints for performances
