Clean Cut Copenhagen

was established in the fall of 2014 by Urban Brands, a menswear company with years of experience in its field.

Clean Cut Copenhagen is based on the vision of a menswear brand, that is able to offer a single go-to solution for all the modern men’s essentials. The brand is focused around T-shirts, knits, sweats, pants, shirts and jackets, but with an eye for detail. The clothes have defined lines, classic silhouettes and muted colors.

We are well established in Denmark and export to Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Bëlgium, Germany, France, Libanon and Canada. We mainly produce our clothing in Turkey, China and Bangladesh.

The photos of the AW20 collection were taken at different locations in the Netherlands. This collection is for the contemporary man, who has a passion and a focus in life that makes life worth living. That’s what we call:

“A Clean way of thinking‘’

CHRISTIAN BISGAARD - CLEAN CUT COPENHAGEN

Born and bred in Denmark, Christian Bisgaard has worked in the realms of fashion and commerce since the 90’s. Deeply attuned to the trends and aspirations for men’s fashion, Christian wants to offer more choices when it comes to fashion for men. He is one of the creative minds behind the two fashion brands Clean Cut Copenhagen and Fat Moose. For this lookbook we caught up with Christian to learn more about him and his work.

Why did you start Clean Cut Copenhagen? What made you decide to take up fashion? My interest in fashion started back in the 90´s and I have always had a great interest in fashion for men. Men’s fashion is far more limited, and I’ve always wondered why women have way more choices in brands and products than men. My aim is to change this.

How would you describe your approach towardsfashion and the philosophy of your brand? The philosophy of our brands is a reflection of my own beliefs. Our idea is that everything must go with everything. You can play with textures and the designs are characterized by functionality and minimalism. Although our clothing is not meant to stand out, through its simplicity and elegant details, the designs effortlessly do so. Clean Cut Copenhagen is less trend-driven, but timeless with simple and classic clean-cut lines.

As a company, we also try to do our best in making the world better, because we know how much the fashion industry has a responsibility for the environmental challenges that we have in the world. We cannot save the world, but we can do our best. Therefore, our focus is to offer menswear, made from materials designed to last beyond the season. Sustainable fashion is not a trend, it is “A Clean Way of Thinking”.

Describe yourself in five words. Powerful, open minded, emphatic, dedicated, creative You seem like a driven person - where does this come from? I think this comes from my interest in sport. I like to watch a game and I love to play sports. It gives me so much energy and I’m always up for a challenge. How does a workday look like for you? Do you have any morning rituals?

I start early. Sometimes with some sport or sometimes with my newspaper and my coffee. I never step into the office after 8AM, because I know my mornings are the best. During the mornings I’m always super productive and creative. Sports and especially running, give me energy and many creative ideas. Best style advice that you’ve ever received? Make the best “men’s essentials” and you will be in the market for many years. How do you get inspired?I get inspired by many things like cool places, social media, sitting on a terrace watching people and shopping. I also get really inspired by watching movies! Tell me about your favorite hotspots in Copenhagen! My neighborhood, Christianshavn, it is my favorite place in Denmark. Here you can find many different cultures, old historical buildings, famous people, homeless people and nice restaurants. The diversity in this area is amazing! Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years? Working on and building up our two brands: Clean Cut Copenhagen and Fat Moose. My goal is to make them well-known brands in Scandinavian fashion.

Collection – AW’20

Our AW’20 collection is inspired by the urban life and Scandinavian architecture. We have designed this comfortable collection for warm weather with strong key items that fit into your wardrobe and have the elements of light clothing, more specifically shown in our styles made of pima cotton and cotton linen. Elevate your wardrobe with our new selected colors. The classic colors are of course always broadly represented in the collection, but this season we have added warm, earth tints such as cognac, burgundy, light grey and army green.

Winter is when the modern gentle-men shine. They have learned the art of layering early on, as well as the importance of soft, quality fabrics that keep them warm. This collection finds the elusive middle ground between looking refined and comfortable.
