• Aggressivediseasewithpoorprognosis•Poorresponsetochemotherapyascomparedtoperipherallymphomas•Usuallymultiplenoduleswithinthebrainparenchyma•Spreadingoutsidethebrainhappensrarelyandatlatestages•Peripherallymphomararelyspreadstothebrain,ifitdoesthereisusuallyassociatedmeningealandCNSinvolvement.

•CNSandperipheralnervescanbeaffectedindisseminatedcanceraspartoftheparaneoplasticsyndromes•Theseincludeseveralmanifestationsincludingdementia,ataxia,sensoryneuropathyandpsychosis

•Inheritedsyndromes•Mutationsinseveraltumorsuppressorgenes•Associatedwithincreasedriskofcertaintypesofcancer•2syndromeswithCNSinvolvement:TuberoussclerosisandvonHippel- Lindou
