Writing this document has come together
through a structured and collaborative
process with our suppliers, which have
helped us to realize a unique and innovative
initiative in the fashion industry:
a Code of Conduct written by hundreds of
participants.
We don’t see this Code as an administrative
step, but as a new way of working,
collaborating, and growing together;
gathering and integrating various perspectives
and contributions of all the companies that
participated, respecting their unique nature.
The sustainability principles rooted at the
heart of our company mission are declined
in this document, to share and spread their
use throughout our supply chain.

Every choice we make doesn’t stop at the
doors of our Maison, but is closely linked
to all suppliers that collaborate in creating
our collections: from the choice of materials,
to the prints, accessories, embroidery, and
packaging. Adopting a sustainable approach
contributes to the fairness, collaboration
and trust based relationships we have
always shared with our partners, and which
will continue to be the base for our future
growth together. For Versace, this is only
the first step in a long path together toward
a future-fit business model to create the
Best Supply Chain in Luxury.

We recognize the importance and urgency of acting with the awareness that we are all dependent
on each other, and we strive to improve in a journey of reciprocal learning. This commitment
is connected to the values that Gianni Versace shares with our suppliers of raw materials and
finished product.

A DIGNIFIED AND FREE WORK CULTURE
- All workers are employed with a written
employment contract that details the terms
and conditions of employment.
- We respect the rights of the people and
the legality of the collaboratory relationship.
Workers are fully aware of their rights and
legal duties.
- We only employ workers who have reached
the minimum work admission period as
provided by local law, in accordance with
ILO conventions no. 138 and 142.
- We ensure the freedom of choice,
repudiating any form of slavery. We
monitor our suppliers to ensure that no
one is subjected to work by force, deceit,
intimidation, or retaliation.

dignity. We prohibit any form of physical,
psychological or verbal abuse.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
- We promote, together with Gianni Versace
Spa, a philosophy of eco- design of products,
exploring innovative solutions to make the
most sustainable choices.
- Every product or process innovation must
guarantee the highest quality standards
along with respect for the principles of
environmental sustainability.
- We pursue increased efficiency in the use
of scarce resources in nature, preferring
renewable or closed cycle materials and
resources.
- We know the value of the materials we
use, which is why we constantly research
and adopt solutions to minimize, recover
and/or reuse textile waste.
- We do not use chemicals that can harm
people or the environment by ensuring
accurate compliance with the Restricted
Substance List (RSL) shared by Gianni
Versace Spa with all suppliers.
POSITIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
- We invest in low-impact technologies and
energy-efficiency systems, renewable energy
production and water-saving solutions.
- Our processes and waste disposal should
not harm the environment, and should
minimize pollution of water, air and soil.
- We monitor and gradually reduce our
carbon footprint to actively reduce global
adverse climate impact.
- We develop integrated logistics solutions
and synergies aimed at minimizing our
overall impacts.
- We contribute to the preservation and
restoration of natural ecosystems through
environmental initiatives to protect and
revaluate local resources.
