Codes and conventions of a Pop-up

• A pop-up is appears in front of a website at anytime without warning

• The pop-up occurs when a user attempts to leave the page. It is like a banner advert however it is more intrusive

• When a pop-up appears it makes the user interact with it before they can proceed

• The most intrusive pop-ups also include more adverts after being closed which essentially makes the user interact with the advert as they want them to

• A pop-up will always include the name of the company and the product if it is needed with the website link/ or contact information

• It will also include any current offers from the company that made the popup ad and can include exclusive discounts only available though the popup ad
