ADMINISTRATOR’S GREETING

O n behalf of our teachers, educational

assistants, clerk, and our custodial team, we

would like to take this opportunity to thank all our

families for your amazing support throughout the year

and during the interesting and crazy end to the 2019-

2020 school year. Our students continue to rise to the

occasion academically, behaviourally and socially. Our

staff looks forward to an exciting 2020–2021 school

year after they have a well-deserved holiday.

The start of the new school year has not yet been set by

the province. Once we have more information we will

send it out. Please continue to check your emails

throughout the summer. The new year still has many

uncertainties, but we will all work together to make

sure everyone stays safe and stays well.

Our “Welcome Back, Meet the Staff” evening is

tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, September 16

beginning at 5:30 p.m. sharp in the gym depending on

any restrictions that may or may not still be in place.

Report cards for this year will be available for pick up

the week of June 22-25. With the report cards, you will

also find the school supply lists, community report,

lunch program registration and milk program

registration. For those who were part of the milk

program this year, 3 months will be taken off the cost of

milk next year.

We are sad to say farewell to the following staff: Mme

Bautista and M. Johannson. We wish them the best in

their new positions. We would like to welcome Mme

Farrage who will be teaching grade 3/4 and Mme

Heinrichs who will be teaching performing arts. The

physical education position has not yet been filled.

Please see our teaching staff for the 2020-2021 school

year. The teachers will do a great job creating that

positive classroom environment before they go on

summer vacation!

How to Keep the French Language Ac*ve Over the Summer!

One of the keys to helping your child learn French is to expose them to the French language outside of the classroom. There are many ways you can make this happen.

French music: • Tune in to one of several French-language radio

staHons that offer programming for the whole family.

• Listen to a French CD while you’re driving with your child, or aKend a French concert.

French movies: • Watch a favourite movie in French. Every DVD

produced for Canadian distribuHon comes with both English and French audio tracks and subHtles.

French books: • Have a selecHon of French books for you and your child to read; this will encourage them to pracHce their French! • Visit the St. Boniface library and borrow some French materials.

French websites: • Access French websites that are associated with

topics your child is interested in. There are also websites that offer games, homework help and fun in French.
