College of Business Outcomes Assessment Plan (2014)
The following pages describe Wilmington University’s College of Business Outcomes Assessment Plan for the following programs:
Undergraduate Accounting
Accounting & Finance
Business Management
Finance
Human Resource Management
Marketing
Organizational Management
Sports Management
Graduate
Doctor of Business Administration
Master of Business Administration
Master of Science in Management
Master of Science in Accounting
The plan is comprised of the Competency Maps for each program. The University undergraduate graduation competencies common to
all programs are assessed by the College of Arts and Sciences with one exception, the Organizational Management (OMA) Program,
and are shown here for information only. The Organizational Management Program is a degree-completion program; hence, most
students will not take those courses in which undergraduate graduation competencies are assessed. For the OMA program, therefore, a
special map applies to the common college competencies. Program competencies are assessed by the College of Business.
Assessment methods for the College of Business programs relating to student learning include assigned rubrics for evaluation of
student performance in simulations, standardized tests, papers, and projects. Additionally, IDEA faculty evaluations are used to
measure student learning and student satisfaction. CECRAM data collected from those courses identified in the outcomes assessment
plan are used by the various programs to incorporate changes to increase student learning.
