Communion at WCC Communion is a time when we remember the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us. The bread represents his body that was broken for us. The cup represents his blood that was spilled for us. Communion is offered to all believers who call Jesus Christ their Lord. Please partake of the emblems as they are passed.
Offering at WCC This church is supported by the grace of God and by the faithful giving of His followers. We appreci-ate your gifts and promise to honor Christ as we use this offering to make a difference in the king-dom.

Men’s Ministry News
Men’s breakfasts and Bible study
will resume in January.
Several people have asked about the shirts that the
staff and elders are wearing with the WCC logo.
Our own Elaine Marlow embroidered the logo on
the shirts and you can get one for only $6 (you
must provide your own shirt).
Just bring your $6 and your shirt tagged with your name and phone num-
ber to the church. Any sweatshirt, oxford button-down, polo, denim or T-
shirt will work. 5x5x5 BIBLE READING PLAN: II Thess. 2-3; II Peter 1-3
Campus Plan Update
We will be devoting specific times of prayer over the next year in order to focus on discerning God's future for WCC.
The first hour of our elders' meeting TODAY will be devoted
to focused prayer. The congregation is invited to participate with us starting at 2 PM in room 110.
We will gather at 8 AM on December 4 for one hour of
prayer prior to our Bible study time. Ladies prayer time Wednesdays at 9:30 AM in the church li-
brary.
Men’s prayer time Sundays at 8:30 AM in Room 106
We ask that families eat dinner together at least once a week during November. As you gather at the table, take time to pray for God’s future plans for WCC. A prayer calendar for the month of November is available in the lobby with prayer em-phases and scripture for each day. Please include these in your daily prayer time.
Our elders believe that God responds to sincere prayer. We look forward to the journey.
We Still Need Help!
Thank you to our recent volunteers! We still need to fill two monthly slots helping with our children during Sunday worship—either individuals or couples. Because some of the current volun-teers have expressed flexibility, you can choose which age group you would like to work with: toddlers, preschool, K-1st, or 2nd-4th grades. Please see Michael or Lori if you are ready to go beyond Worship and Connection to Commit!
Roman Road: Plan of Salvation
Romans 1:16
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sin-ners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Romans 6:4
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiri-tual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
To our church family,
Each year, Woodlawn Christian Church collects a special offering at Thanksgiving. This special gift, which is above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings, is designed to meet a special need. This year, the elders have decided to ask you to help us raise money for two worthy causes. Our offering goal is $6,000, which would go toward the follow-ing:
We would like to present a love gift to Michael and Annie to assist
them with their immediate needs in this special time of their lives. WCC provides $750 per semester for students attending a Bible col-
lege. We currently have a zero balance in that account. A portion of our offering would be set aside to help us meet our commitment to these students.
Our leadership recognizes that Woodlawn Christian Church exists by the grace of God and by the generosity of those who believe in our work. We therefore ask you to prayerfully consider a sacrificial gift. The offer-ing will be collected during our morning worship time on Sunday, No-vember 20 and 27. Special offering envelopes will be available for you to use. You may also bring your gift in to the office during the week. We rejoice in what God has done and has continued to do at WCC. May the words of the Apostle Paul be our words as well: I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:3-6). Thank you for your partnership in what God is doing in Woodlawn. Blessings,
Tracy Tracy Thomas Preaching Minister
