Help Manual

To import a photo

1. File - Place 2. Place photo on page

To size photo proportionally

1. Click on photo 2. Press down Shift and Ctrl buttons 3. Drag photo from corner (blue box)

To import text

1. Make text tool active 2. Click mouse on draw

text box 3. Paste in text

To make the page bigger/smaller

1. Hold down the Ctrl key and press the + or - key

Use the small blue boxes to manipulate objects; the red box is for jumps

InDesign

PhotoShop 5 things you need to do in PhotoShop

1. Open photo File - Open - find photo and double click

2. Tone photo Image - Adjustment - Auto level (Use Curves if you prefer)

3. Sharpen photo Filter - Sharpen - Sharpen

4. Size photo Image - Image size (or use Crop tool) *Good rule of thumb for class: 10 inches on longest side Resolution: 100 pixels/inch Make sure all boxes are checked

5. Save photo File - Save As *Save photos as .jpg to a place where you can find them
