Wiki• Server program that

allows users to collaborate in forming the content of a Web site. 

• Comes from “wikiwiki” meaning fast in Hawaiian language.

• The simplest wiki programs allow users to create and edit content

Social Bookmarking

• It is tagging a website and saving it for later.• Instead of saving them to your web browser,

you are saving them to the web. • Because your bookmarks are online, you

can easily share them with friends.

HTML• Hypertext Mark-up

Language•  A language to

specify the structure of documents for retrieval across the Internet using browser programs of the World Wide Web.

Podcast• The word “podcasting” is

a portmanteau combining the words “broadcasting” and “iPod.”

• Podcasts are digital media files (most often audio, but they can be video as well), which are produced in a series.

• The most popular format of a podcast is MP3.

VoIP• Voice over Internet

Protocol• It is another way of

making phone calls, with the difference of making the calls cheaper or completely free.

Online Chat• communication

users on the Internet that are using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

Social Networking

•  a website that allows people with similar interests to come together and share information, photos and videos. 

• Those who engage on social network sites as a personal endeavour interact by using various forms of media to discuss their lives and interests.

Web Feed• a data format used

for providing users with frequently updated content.
