What is EMAIL?

Short for electronic mail, e-mail or email is text messages that may contain files, images, or other attachments sent

through a network to a specified individual or group of individuals.

What is WIKI?

A collaborative Web site comprises the perpetual collective work of many authors. Similar to a blog in structure and logic, a wiki allows anyone to

edit, delete or modify content that has been placed on the Web site using a browser interface, including the work of previous authors.

What is SOCIAL BOOKMARKING?

A method of saving and storing online information or web pages for future

reference.

What is HTML?

Short for HyperText Markup Language, the authoring language used to create documents on the World Wide Web.

HTML defines the structure and layout of a Web document by using a variety of tags and attributes.

What is PODCAST?

Podcasts are digital media files, which are produced in a series. You can subscribe to a series of files, or podcast, by using a piece of software called a pod

catcher.

What is VOIP?

An acronym for Voice Over Internet Protocol, or in more common terms phone service over

the Internet.

What is ONLINE CHAT?

Is used to refer to any type of communication that needs the internet to take place. This type of communication usually offers real time and

direct transmission of text based messages.

What is STREAMING?

Video and/or audio data transmitted over a computer network for immediate playback

rather than for file download and later (offline) playback.

What is WWW?

A system of Internet servers that support specially formatted documents. The documents

are formatted in a mark-up language called HTML.

What is BLOG?

Short for Web log, a blog is a Web page that serves as a publicly accessible personal journal for an individual. Typically updated daily, blogs

often reflect the personality of the author.

What is SOCIAL NETWORKING?

Based on a certain structure that allow people to both express their individuality and meet

people with similar interests.

What is URL?

A URL (Uniform Resource Locator, previously Universal Resource Locator) is the unique address for a file that is

accessible on the Internet. A common way to get to a Web site is to enter the URL of its home page file in

your Web browser's address line.

What is WEB FEED?

A web feed is a data format used for providing users with frequently updated content.

Content distributors syndicate a web feed, thereby allowing users to subscribe to it.
