Comparison between Hindu and Greek Gods

Both Greek and Hindu Mythologies include numerous Gods serving important functions and crucial roles. Both Hindu and Greek Gods are gifted with special powers and weapons with respect to their functions. Also, when these Gods are portrayed, their weapons have been an important part of their identity. In terms of appearance, the male Greek Gods look more strong, masculine and fierce as compared to the Hindu male Gods. Comparatively, the Hindu Gods look more feeble and fragile. Even if the Hindu Gods looked weak in contrast with the Greek Gods, both still have caused equal wonders. In the Greeks, the male Gods are shown having exposed their hair while most of the Hindu male Gods have been adorned with crowns on their head symbolizing their status.

The Hindu Goddesses too are embellished with a crown on their heads which is just seen sometimes among the Greek Goddesses. The Hindu Goddesses are shown well groomed and scrupulously neat while the Greek Goddesses are plainly clad wearing draped clothes. For most of the Hindu Gods, a halo has been described around them, which is not really seen among the Greeks.
