• Food and drink sector:cleaner production processes aiming at higher resources efficiency, reduction of waste and increasing recycling and recovery, high efficiency in the water process.
• Environmental management – Greening business:support to SMEs, application of (new) EMAS. Priority to cluster approach.
• Eco-label and smart purchasing:eco-design, support to eco-labelling, integration of eco-innovation in supply chains.
• Projects focussing on land-use, urban planning and water management should be presented to LIFE+(http://ec.europa.eu/environment/life/index.htm) and also to DG RTD (http://cordis.lu).
• Projects oriented to public authorities should be presented to LIFE+.

The INTERREG IVC Programme is part of the European Territorial Cooperation Objective of the Structural Fund policies for the period 2007-2013. It aims, by means of interregional cooperation, to improve the effectiveness of regional developmentpolicies and contribute to economic modernisation and increasedcompetitiveness of Europe, by:
1. Enabling local and regional actors across the EU to exchange their experiences and knowledge;
2. Matching regions less experienced in a certain policy field with more advanced regions;
3. Ensuring the transfer of good practices into Structural Funds mainstream programmes.

The programme MED is a transnational programme within the objective « European territorial cooperation » of the
period 2007-2013 (previously named Interreg).
Its priorities are : - To improve the area's competitiveness in a way that guarantees growth and employment for the next generations (Lisbon strategy).
- To promote territorial cohesion and environmental protection, according to the logic of sustainable development (Goteborg strategy).
