User Accounts and Privileges

Windows Vista and Windows 7 accounts:•Administrator - can do pretty much anything•Standard User - cannot install programs or change certain system settings•Guest – can use computer, but nothing else

Undoing System Setting Changes

• Don’t click OK! – If you’re not sure, use Cancel instead

• Refer to your notes about what you changed (You did take notes, right?)

• Control Panel applet is calledPrinters

• Printer icons tell whether a printer is:– local or networked– currently online or offline– your default printer

device– The Printers applet

• Add Printer Wizard– Plug and Play detection– Manual install

• When needed, find printer drivers online

Connecting Wireless or Networked Printers

• All the hard work is already done—someone else has installed this printer locally!

• Use the Add Printer Wizard, select the option Add a network, wireless, or Bluetooth printer

• Browse to the printer you want

Deleting a Printer

• Right-click the printer icon in Printers and Faxes, and choose Delete

• Deleting a networked printer doesn’t wipe it out—it just takes it out of your printer list
