Wisconsin Lutheran Child & Family Service (WLCFS) has a long tradition of ◦ “healing and helping people in need

through the ministry of Jesus Christ.”

Since 1965, WLCFS has been the social service agency for the WELS/ELS community, affiliated with, but not financially supported by, either synod.

History

Stats Provided 12,524 counseling hours

(helping over 2,000 people) in 2013 15 counseling clinics 29 WELS/ELS counselors on staff

Christian Family Counseling Helping individuals and families with:

Stress and adjustment disorders Marriage and couples counseling Grief and loss Parenting and family issues Depression Substance and alcohol abuse Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) And many other issues

Healing &helping

Member Assistance Program (MAP) Reach individuals anywhere

Video counseling Through our churches, schools,

and districts MAP has already provided services

to over 1,300 members of over

250 WELS/ELS congregations
