Conservatory Student to Play in All-National Band Congratulations to junior Rebekah Laflin for being
chosen to participate in the 2018 All-National Honor
Band! Being part of the All-National Honor Band
requires a music student to first demonstrate excellence
at the All-District level, followed by the All-State level,
and finally at a National competition. Rebekah will be
one of 121 instrumentalists who were chosen by
audition from around the country to play in the
All-National Concert Band.
Lecrae Devaughn Moore, known as Lecrae, is a Christian
hip hop recording artist, songwriter, record producer,
and actor. TKA was privileged to have him speak to our
MS/HS students during a special Chapel on Wednesday.
Lecrae shared his story and encouraged students to
"embrace their fears and let fear drive their faith." To
know that their identity and worth is found in Jesus Christ
and that God has a purpose and a plan for their life that
includes their trials and scars. "For we are His workman-
ship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10
