Connected Vehicle Sensor Platform
The Connected Vehicle Sensor Platform [CVSP] is a wireless bridge between a vehicle and a central server.
This enables real-time, event based or periodic two-way communication between the vehicle and a central
server. This enables remote following of individual vehicles or a complete fleet. The CVSP consists of a
number of core hardware and software building blocks, but these are easy to be changed, added or removed.
These customizations are customer specific as well as the development of the overall application. The CVSP is
available as OEM module.

Connectivity
• GPRS: insert a SIM card and start 2-way communication via a central server
• USB: directly communicate with the CVSP during setup or to readout the recording memory in case
there is no GPRS module present
• Bluetooth 4.0 Smart (low energy): 2-way communication with another Bluetooth Smart enabled PC or
smart device (mobile phone or tablet), range up to 10m
• CAN bus: read/write events to the CAN bus, filter on certain events or sequences, advanced
read/write scripting possibilities*
* Expert knowledge of the CAN bus is required, although the CAN bus is a standardized protocol, each
vehicle brand uses specific and unique messages
• I2C bus
• SPI bus
• Digital I/O: protected digital in and outputs.
o Inputs: read for example if vehicle contact slot is on or off.
o Outputs: trigger vehicle alarm, break ignition etc.
• Analog I/O: protected analog input signals.
• 1-Wire: prepared for 1-Wire communication.
