Construction of Final Production

By Elliot Tildesley

Construction of Front page

• First, I created a gradient on the blank canvas. This gave my magazine a neat background to be created on.

• I also inserted my masthead

• Next, I added teasers and a border. • The titles of the articles are in red, so to stand

out against the background.

• I inserted more teasers, as well as information such as price, date and issue number.

• There is also a faint image of an award behind the opening teasers.

• Finally, I added the images of my artists and included the title of their feature across a splash.

• I used different levels to show the differences between these artists, this connotes that they are not friends.

Construction of contents page

• First, I started with the original masthead and a small border around important text – such as issue number and date.

• I also created borders for my articles, this was important as it helped me plan out the page.

• Next, I inserted all of the images to be included on this page.

• Finally for this page, I created my body text and placed it onto the page.

Construction of Double page spread

• First, I started with the original masthead - Music and Me in the top right corner.

• Then created the title for the article, this is in red. The colour makes it stand out, and act as my house style, with main article titles in red.

• Big step, I then inserted all of my text, and an image of an artist onto the page.

• On the second page, I began again with the small masthead in the top corner.

• I then inserted my first column of text.

• Finally, I inserted my final pieces of text, and a couple of images of the two artists.
