When they are sixteen, they don’t wear a uniform.

The capital of England is London.

The Big Ben is the most important clock in London.

Big Ben is the name of the bell.

The Big Ben is next to the Houses of Parliament

Tower Bridge is the most

typical bridge over the Thames.

The Tower of London is a very important monument.

It was a prison in the past

The beefeaters are the guards

of the tower

Buckingham Palace is the Queen´s palace

The changing of the guard is very typical.

They change at half past eleven in the morning every day.

Trafalgar Square is in the centre of London.

Many people meet there.

The London eye is an enormous wheel.

People can get on it and have a beautiful view of the city

Double-decker buses are typical in the city, they are red.

The phone boxes and the post boxes are red too.

But taxis are black

“Bobby” is the traditional name for a British policeman

eggs, sausages, bacon, beens...

fruit, cakes coffe, tea, juice...

…butter, jam, bread, cakes...

It´s the most important meal on the day.

Traditionaly English people had tea at 4 in the afternoon.Today they only have tea on holiday.

They have tea and cakes.

Scones are delicious with jam and cream.

Cricket is a traditional English sport

They play cricket in summer.

They need a stick, a ball (made of wood) and stumps.

England is into the European Union, but they don´t use euros, they use pounds and pence (or pennies)

In their free time English people meet their friends in pubs

In a pub you can have a drink ...

…or have some food too.

There you can have traditional food like roastbeef or fish and chips

In summer it´s typical to have fish and chips outside

But if you want to know more things about England...study a lot of English and go to visit it.
