Required Credits: ALL Freshmen must be enrolled in 60 credits, including:

- Recommended academics- Freshman PE / Team Sports- Electives

Additional credits may be selected from:- CREDIT PLUS courses are listed in the right-hand column of the Course List (page 6) in the Incoming 9th Grade Course Request Packet

Physical Education

● Freshman Co-ed P.E.

● Team Sports Incoming 9th graders may initially enroll in “non-cut”

sports, but can also try out for “cut” sports. If a student makes the team of a “cut” sport, their schedule will be adjusted at a later date. Refer to the 9th Grade Course Request Packet and the Athletic Interest form.

Please consider carefully the time and energy commitment involved in athletic competition.

Blended Learning

Blended learning is an educational option for students in grades 7-12 within Irvine Unified School District. Students complete coursework online, and attend one required in-person meeting per week for discussions, collaborative activities, and test proctoring.
