Regular attendance and participation increase student success in this course. We will cover approximately one chapter per week. For this reason, most students cannot afford to miss even one class period!

You must attend class in order to earn participation points and in order to take quizzes.

Quizzes will be given over Episodios 1 – 14.

Most quizzes are scheduled on Wednesdays. Students are encouraged to use the weekend to prepare for the next Episodio (chapter).

Each quiz will be worth 200 points.a

At the end of the course, only 2000 (possible) quiz points will count toward your grade. For this reason, your lowest quiz scores will be thrown out.

Quizzes that are missed may not be made up at a later time.

A missed quiz can count as one of the lowest quiz scores that are dropped.

Your textbook is bound together with workbook pages (Cuaderno de tarea). On the day that these assignments are due, please tear them out, staple the pages together, and put your name on the packet.

The Cuaderno de tarea worktext assignments are due at the beginning of the class period. Late worktext assignments will not be accepted.

If you anticipate an absence, you are encouraged to turn in your assignments prior to the due date.
