Cream of Chicken Soup (Gluten & Dairy Free)

Ingredients

• 3 Tbs. Butter, or Dairy-free butter substitute (I’ve made this soup both ways, and it always turns out great!)

• 3 Tbs. Gluten Free Flour • 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder • 1/4 tsp. Pepper, optional • 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth (I use Better than Bouillon) • 1/2 Cup Milk of choice (I use Almond Milk)

Recipe

In a small saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour until a roux forms. (approx. 1 minute) Add garlic powder and pepper, if desired. Whisk in chicken broth and milk. Bring to a simmer and whisk until mixture thickens. Use immediately in a recipe or store in the fridge until ready to be used on the same day.

Yields one can of Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup.
