CREDIBLE CHHATTISGARH

The State of Chhattisgarh is located in the Central region of India. The new State of Chhattisgarh was

born with a new Chief Minister in Raipur, the capital, in the early hours of November 1.

During the British rule till 1947, some of the areas of present Chhattisgarh were princely

state.

After a number of years, these state were merged with Madhya Pradesh. The people of the land demanded a

separate autonomous state and Chhattisgarh was formed on November 01, 2000.

The state of Chhattisgarh is 16th most populous state in India with a population of around 25.5 million people.

With a phenomenal 44% of the TOTAL area of the state is covered by forests, the state of Credible Chhattisgarh

is truly a “green state”.

Summers are very hot and humid. The temperature sometimes reaches as high as 45 degree Celsius during

Chhattisgarh has one of the richest mineral wealth in India. Around 28 types of minerals are found here, including iron ore, bauxite, limestone, coal, gold and diamond. The state accounts for around 23% of the iron ore deposits of India.

Chhattisgarh is surrounded by the states of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand,

and Uttar Pradesh.

The mostly spoken languages are Hindi and Chhattisgarhi language people. Chhattisgarhi language is a dialect of

Hindi.

More than 98 % of the people living in Chhattisgarh are Hindus.

With an area of 135,190 sq.km, Credible Chhattisgarh is 10th largest in terms of land area.
